Ladies Bunco Club - Meets the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M.  For more information contact Pat Merkel(853-8316) or Cheryl Pearce(852-1111).

Book Club - You are invited to attend a Book Club in Saddlehorn started by residents Dianne Davis and Joanne Jarrett in the fall of 2005.  It meets monthly on a Thursday Night at 7:00 P.M. at Dianne's house.  Her address is 14250 Powder River Court.  The group is casual and is currently ranging from 5-10 attendees.  The upcoming dates are May 10,  June 14, July 12, August 9, and September 13.  For additional information contact Joanne at 851-4628 or jarrettsj@sbcglobal.net.

Saddlehorn Picnic  -  August 26, 2007

    A group of almost 150 Saddlehorn residents gathered at Thomas Creek Park for the 2007 Saddlehorn Family Picnic on Sunday, August 26.  Everyone enjoyed a great afternoon of fun, food, and fellowship.  The meat, soft drinks, and adult beverages were provided by the Saddlehorn Homeowners Association.  Appetizers, salads, side dishes, and desserts were provided by the residents who shared their culinary skills.

    Special thanks were given to Kent & Launi Sweet, Saddlehorn residents and owners of The Galena Market for providing the ice used for the picnic.  Rich Flocchini, another Saddlehorn resident and owner of Sierra Meat Company was thanked for giving the Association pricing considerations for the hamburgers and brats served at the picnic.  Saddlehorn resident, Chuck Merkel, provided the sound system for our use.

    In order to encourage the participation of more families in the picnic special activities were planned for our younger residents.  This replaced the bounce house previously rented for the occasion.  Dani Blackhart, Trevor Nelson, Makenzie Kline, and Matt Carpenter worked under the supervision of picnic committee member Madeline Carpenter to plan and conduct the activities.  Thanks to them for their help.

    A number of residents new to Saddlehorn since last year’s picnic were welcomed and given a chance to introduce themselves and give some background information about their families.  Members of the Board of Directors were also introduced to give residents a chance to put a face with the names of Board members.

    Special thanks go to the members of the 2007 Picnic Committee for their hard work.  Members included Claudia Calabro, Tony Calabro, Marge Fraser, Ed Fraser, Pat Merkel, Chuck Merkel, Beth Buchler, Judi Kleidon, Ed Kleidon, Madeline Carpenter, Becky Marsh, and Mimi Violin.  Linda and Ken Langdon served as co-chairs.
